Providing oversight of the credentialing process for a three-hospital system with a medical staff of 1400 practitioners.
Serving as Joint Commission Medical Staff Chapter Chair covering three hospitals and nine clinics, assuring compliance with the medical staff chapter as well as shared responsibility for the governing body chapter.
Serving as Executive Champion during CMS hospital surveys.
Providing oversight of medical staff bylaws, fair hearing plans, operations and functions manuals, and credentials manuals for three hospitals, to include proposing revisions to all documents to assure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Researching and proposing privilege forms based on the development of new technology as well as proposing revisions to existing privilege forms based on changes in practice and technology.
Writing articles and producing a monthly physician newsletter for hospitals with a medical staff of 1400 and 600, respectively.
Serving as a resource for questions, both internal and external to the organization, relating to medical staff documents, requirements, and organization.
Developing a credentialing program for a freestanding surgery center.

Developing comprehensive physician databases for areas of Colorado and Idaho to include such information as board certifications, hospital affiliations, and FTE status as well as physician practice and location data. This information was used to forecast physician supply and demand for the clients' service areas.
Conducting research, writing reports and making presentations for board meetings, client projects, and medical staff/hospital administration planning retreats.
Ms. Miller has a B.S. degree in Healthcare Management from Metropolitan State College and has received certifications from the National Association for Medical Staff Services. She has been active in both state and national medical staff associations and served as President of the Colorado Association of Medical Staff Services.
