Specializing in financial modeling for site and master facility plans, third-party reimbursement, and managed care contracting, he has more than 25 years' experience in financial analysis, financial forecasting and strategic planning. Mr. Wilson has developed a sophisticated, integrated financial model that uses forecast admissions by service line to compute ancillary volumes, gross and net revenues, and expense detail by cost center. Serving for 14 years in a variety of financial development positions, including six years as CFO of a major teaching hospital. He improved the profitability of the hospital, which had over 70 percent managed care business, from $1.5 million to $9.2 million and increased cash by $13 million while reducing debt by over $3 million.
Serving as the chief financial officer for a rehabilitation hospital for seven years and as the interim chief financial officer for a 350-bed acute care hospital for three years in the Midwest.
